I’m Steve Weinik, photographer and one of the on screen researchers in the film Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles. I’ve been interested in the tiles since my days in middle school, when I first noticed them in center city Philadelphia.
Why the site? Making yourself the world authority on anything, even something as esoteric as the Toynbee Tiles, sends a lot of people with questions your way. Also, when you see so much poor, misleading or incorrect information online, it’s really, really annoying. So in an effort to create an accurate record, and to avoid repeating the same few answers to the same few questions to 1000 different people, I decided to build this site and blog.
The site is split broadly into who, what, when, where, why and how. Where I get into supplementary material or text, I link out to relevant blog posts.
One day when I have the time, I may compile all this into a book. Think that’s a great idea? A terrible one? Have something else to say? Feel free to get in touch.
